Mannathuparambu is a small town in Edayur grama panchayath of Malappuram district, Kerala. It is situated 5 kilometers away from Pookkattiri town on Pookkattiri – Edayur – Pang – Padapparambu – Malappuram road. It is famous for its Public swimming pool known as Odungattukulam.
It is predominantly an agrarian village where there are vast paddy fields. Rice,coconut, arecanut and banana are the major crops.
Odungattukulam
It is a public swimming pool of approximately one acre of size at Mannathuparambu, Edayur grama panchayath. This is one of the major tourism and entertainment centers of Edayur. People from all parts of Malappuram and Palakkad visit Odungattukulam. Recently panchayath authorities has invested huge amount of money to renovate the pond. Panchayath has laid interlocking tiles around the pond and installed pool handles making it more convenient and ensuring safety. Several tea and coffee shops are set up near the pond.
