Kodumudi

Kodumudi is a border village between Malappuram and Palakkad districts and it is part of Irimbiliyam panchayath of Malappuram district. Thuthapuzha, a tributary of Bharathappuzha flows through Kodumudi. This river separates Thiruvegappura panchayath of Palakkad district and Irimbiliyam panchayath of Malappuram district. Thoothapuzha merge with Bharathappuzha at Irimbiliyam, close to Kodumudi.

Kodumudi town

The Kodumudi town is well connected by roads. Valanchery – Koppam road passes through Kodumudi town. Valanchery town is located just 5 kilometers away from here. Valanchery is a major commercial and business hub of the area. Kodumudi is like a suburban area of Valanchery.

Thiruvegappura mahadeva temple is located on the other side of Thoothapuzha. Thiruvegappura mahadeva temple is one of the major temples in Kerala and it is unique because of the presence of three prime deities ( Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Sankaranarayana ). Three flags that coexist in a single temple.
