Mahtari Vandana Yojana, a major flagship programme of Chattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai led BJP government to provide financial assistance of 1000 rupees per month to eligible married women in the state as monthly DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The scheme was launched on 10 January, 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via a vedio conferencing programme. Apart from married women, divorced, abandoned and widowed women will fall under the beneficiery category.
Eligibility
All married women including divorced, abandoned and widowed women’s applica t’s age should be above 21 and do not exceed 60 years. Annual income of applicant’s women’s family should not exceed 2.5 lakh. Adhar linked bank account is mandatory for the approval of the yojana.
First installment of 665 crore rupees to 70 lakh benefecieries have been disbursed on March 2024.
