Puthiyanidam, Thottumukkam

Puthiyanidam is a small village in Kodiyathoor panchayath of Kozhikode district, Kerala. It is located on Gothembu road to Thottumukkam road.

Puthiyanidam is part of western ghat mountain system. This village is famous for extensive mining and quarry activities. Several large and small mining companies operate in karinkal quarrying and sand production. Environment in these areas are facing sever concerns due to heavy quarry activities. Hundreds of heavy trucks can be seen in this tiny beautiful village carrying stones and sands.
