1. Manassery is known as “Town of Colleges” because of the presence of several colleges located in and around the town. Manassery is situated on Kozhikode-Mukkam road in Kozhikode district, Kerala. It is 28 km away from Kozhikode city and 5 km away from Mukkam.

2. Manassery is a regional road junction which has roads to four directions.

3. KMCT Medical college, National College of Pharmacy, KMCT Dental college, KMCT Ayurveda college are situated in Manassery. KMCT was established by Dr. K. Modu, a leading medical practitioner and a visionary reductionist in Kozhikode.

4. Manassery is a fast growing town due to influx of students from all over kerala in the town. New shopping centers, restaurants and residential buildings are being constructed in and around Manassery.

5. Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial college is situated in Manassery. The college was established in 1982 by V.Moideen Koya Haji in memory of Indian national movement leader Muhammed Abdurahiman known as “Subash Chandra Bose of Kerala”. Muhammed Abdurahiman had been a shining star for more than two decades from 1921 to 1945 in cultural and social movements in Malabar region, especially after Malabar rebellion against British Government. During the short span of his forty eight years of life he had been in jail for nine years.

6. Manassery and neighboring areas have paddy fields where rice, banana and vegetables are cultivated.

7. Manassery has a mini stadium which is being planned to upgrade into international standard.
