Vengad

Vengad is a village in Moorkkanad grama panchayath of Malappuram district in Kerala near Valanchery town. Vengad is known for its two major landmarks namely, Flora Fantasia Amusement Park and a Gokulam cattle farm by Guruvayur Devaswom Board. Vengad which lies 7 kilometers from Valanchery town and 12 kilometers from Perinthalmanna on State Highway 73 which connects Valanchery – Perinthalmanna – Nilambur.

Vengad serves as a major marketplace for Moorkkanad panchayath which shares border with Palakkad district. Vengad is a junction where two roads start to Palakkad border, one Vengad – Edappalam road and other Vengad – Puramannur – Kodumudi. Kunthipuzha, a major tributary of Bharatapuzha, is drawing boundary between Malappuram and Palakkad districts.

Flora Fantasia Amusement Park

Flora Fantasia Amusement Park, one of the largest amusement parks in Malabar region offers wide range of thrilling rides like roller coasters, water slides and carnival games. The park caters attractions for visitors of all ages. The Park, which is located in a lush green landscape overlooking Kunthipuzha. Visitors atop of rides are blessed with splendid natural beauty of Kunthipuzha.

Gokulam Vengad

Gokulam Vengad is a cattle farm run by Guruvayur Devaswom Board headquartered in Guruvayur. Guruvayur temple which is known as “Bhuloka Vaikunta” which means “Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth”. Hundreds of cows are reared in Vengad Gokulam.
