Anchumoola, Paruthur

Anchumoola is a small agrarian village in Paruthur grama panchayath of Palakkad district in Kerala. The village is situated 4 kilometers away from Thiruvegappura town on Thiruvegappura – Pallipuram road. Anchumoola is located close to Nadaparambu town. Sometimes Anchumoola is considered as part of Nadaparambu town.

Anchumoola has vast paddy fields flooded by two major rivers of Kerala, Bharathappuzha and Kunthipuzha ( locally known as Thoothapuzha ). Thoothapuzha merges with Bharathappuzha at Irimbiliyam panchayath, very close to Anchumoola. Rice is the major crop cultivated here. Coconut, arecanut, banana, tapioca are also cultivated.

Anchumoola is well connected by roads. Valanchery and Thrithala are the nearest major towns. Paruthur higher secondary school is situated in Nadaparambu town. This school is one of the major educational centre in Paruthur panchayath. A railway line is passing through this village.
