Chottupara is a beautiful and picturesque village encircled by lush green cardomom and tea plantations in Idukki district, Kerala. This village is 8 kilometers away from Kumily and Kerala Tamilnadu state border.
It is one of the main tourism hotspot in Thekkady region. Many big hotels, resorts and plantation farms are situated in Chottupara. Village is located on Kottayam-Kumily Road( NH 183).
Village is famous for its cardomom and tea plantations. Pepper is also cultivated as a fixed farming in tea plantations.
