Kadakassery mosque

Kadakassery is a fast growing village in Tavanur grama panchayath of Malappuram district, Kerala. It is situated on eastern side of Tavanur town on the southern bank of Bharathappuzha (also known as Nila). Kadakassery represents two local body wards in Tavanur named as Kadakassery and Kadakassery north.

Kadakassery is well connected by road networks. Tavanur town is situated just two kilometers away. Vellanchery, Madirassery, Thrikkanapuram are the nearest localities. NH 66 ( Panvel to Kanyakumari ) is passing through Thrikkanapuram and Ayankalam towns. State highway 69 which connects Thrissur and Thrikkanapuram starts from Thrikkanapuram. Kuttippuram is the nearest railway station which is located six kilometers away from Kadakassery.

Kadakassery and neighboring Vellanchery, Madirassery and Tavanur have vast paddy fields where rice is heavily cultivated. Rice and coconut are the major crops here. Bharathappuzha valley is highly fertile regions in Malappuram district as the slush beneath the riverbed adds to the fertility.

Kadakassery is a Muslim majority village and there is a substantial amount of Hindu community. IUML and CPI(M) are the largest political parties here.

Ideal English School, Kadakassery

Ideal English school is one of the best educational institutions which provide high quality education. School is doing very well in academic and other fields like arts and sports. In 2022 state school sports festival, Ideal English Higher secondary school secured first position in the state. Ideal won 20 medals including 7 gold medals.
