Madirassery is a small village situated on the southern bank of Nila river (Bharathappuzha) in Tavanur grama panchayath of Malappuram district, Kerala. This village lies just 1 kilometer away from NH 66 (Mumbai – Kanyakumari) in Mini Pampa near Kuttippuram bridge.
Madirassery is a eastern border of Tavanur panchayath and Bharathappuzha flows through its eastern border. Madirassery has vast paddy fields and rice is the major cultivated here along with coconut. Madirassery and adjacent areas receive enough water from Nila river.
Madirassery is part of Tavanur assembly constituency and Ponnani Loksabha constituency.
