Vallathaipara

Vallathaipara is a small town in Karassery grama panchayath in Kozhikode district of Kerala. Vallathaipara, eventhogh situated in Karassery panchayath, considered as a suburb of Mukkam town which is just four kilometers west of Vallathaipara. Anayamkunnu, Muringapurayi are the neighboring places of Vallathaipara. Iruvanjipuzha, a major tributary of Chaliyar river, separates both Mukkam and Anayamkunnu – Vallathaipara. New Mukkam kadavu bridge enables vehicles from Mukkam town to reach Vallathaipara in 5 minutes. Earlier North Karassery road was the only road which connected both Mukkam and Vallathaipara.

Anayamkunnu along with Vallathaipara serves as a gateway to Western Ghat mountains in the east. Flat landscape (Idanadu) ends here and mountain (Malanadu) starts. Roads to Maranchaty, Koodaranji, Thottumukkam and Koompara all of which are major hill towns of Kozhikode district, start from Vallathaipara.

Vallathaipara is a growing township outside Mukkam town. People from surrounding areas depend this town for shopping before opting Mukkam.
