Rangattur is a small town in Kuttippuram grama panchayath of Malappuram district, Kerala. It lies 6.5 kilometers away from Kuttippuram town on Kuttippuram – Tirur road. Historic “mamamkam” town Tirunavaya is just 1.5 kilometer away from Rangattur. It is well connected by roads and railway network. Tirunavaya railway station and Kuttippuram railway station are situated two and seven kilometers away respectively.
Rangattur is a riverside town which is located on the northern bank of river Bharathappuzha or Nila.
