Location

Odatheru is a small village in Karassery panchayath in Kozhikode district, Kerala. This village is part of Karuthaparambu town situated on the Kerala state highway 34 (Koyilandi to Edavanna) and 2 kilometers away from Mukkam town.

Major Facts

1. NC Hospital, a premier healthcare centre in Karassery is situated here. There is a casualty, Gynecology and Obstetrics department operating here. The hospital is on the picturesque meadow of the green hills.

2. Odatheru does not have any retail outlets. People here depend Karuthaparambu or Mukkam for their needs. The area is sparsely populated due to undulating surfaces.

3. The roads in this area is accident prone zone due to curved road so that drivers are given caution sign boards.

4. This village has abundant rubber cultivation. Rubber, coconut and arecanut are the major crops in this village. Tapioca, banana and yam are also cultivated.

5. Hinduism and Islam are the major religions in this village. Political parties like IUML, Congress and CPI(M) has great influence here.
