Adiyogi statue is a marvelous and giant statue of Lord Shiva with a 112 feet in height with a nice lush green background and surrounded by small hills. It is the largest upper part figure statue in the world with a Guinness record. The Adiyogi statue is located in Isha Yoga Centre, a calming and relaxing place situated 32 kilometers away from Coimbatore city, Tamilnadu.
Adiyogi Shiva Statue was designed by Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev, the founder of Isha Foundation. Sadhguru is a great yoga teacher, author of many books and a great speaker in national and international forums. This marvelous steel structure was unveiled in 2017 by then Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
Adiyogi statue is 112 feet in height which resembles 112 ways of Adiyogi, the first yogi or Lord Shiva, through which human beings can go beyond all their limitations and reach their ultimate goal and potential. It is believed that Lord Shiva has attained 100 percent enlightenment through yoga and was able to use 100 percent of his brain. Lord Shiva is widely regarded as the Father of Yoga. Yogeshwar Linga, which was consecrated by Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev, was installed in front of Adiyogi Shiva Statue. There is a necklace which is made from thousands of rudrakshas is worn.
